THANSKGIVING CELEBRATION!!!

Our Thanksgiving was a little non-traditional this year. Instead of cooking we just went out to eat at the Golden Corral in North Little Rock. My brother and sister had to work, so it was going to be worth my mom cooking for just a few of us. Before, we went to eat we stopped by the Lakewood Nursing Home to pick up Noah. Noah is 96 years old and going strong. He was my grandparents farm-hand years and years ago and he has always been a grandfather figure to me. He has known my family for over 70 years. We ate lots and lots and then David and I headed home to do outside Christmas decorations. We decided not to decorate, well let me re-word that, David decided that we should not decorate inside, since we are leaving in just a few days to spend Christmas in Florida. But, hey I am not complaining that I get to spend Christmas in Florida. I am so lucky that my in-laws leave there.

Niagara Falls Trip was so much fun......

David and I went to Niagara Falls, Canada for our 2 year anniversary trip. We had a wonderful time. The weather was very mild for that time of the year. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days. The first two days were beautiful with the highs in the 50s, but the last couple of days it was much colder and rainy. So, we did lots of sightseeing the first part of the trip and spent lots of time in the casino the second part of the trip. I won $500.00 in the dollar slots. But, trust me we needed that since everything was so expensive. We could not even eat at Burger King for under $20.00. The restaurants did not give refills on soda, just water. I can tell you that if I lived in Canada, I would get my recommended amount of drinking water. We also went to an IMAX movie that told about the "daredevils" that have attempted to survive the drop from the falls. It was very interesting!!! Our hotel room had a view overlooking the falls. So, David and I loved leaving the window cracked at bedtime to hear the falls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LACEY LOU!!!

I can't believe that Lacey is already two. My oh my how time flies!!! David and I were out-of-town for her birthday celebrating our anniversary, so we did a low key birthday party when we returned. We gave Lacey and Katie each a small vanilla cupcake. Let's just say Katie is a cupcake lover. She put the whole thing in her mouth at once and swallowed with one gulp. Lacey took her time just eating as slow as ever. I think Katie has learned to eat everything so fast, so Lacey will not take it from her. Needless to say Lacey was very tired after the party.

Best Wishes to Susan and Greg!!!!

I know I am way behind on blogging. I am going to do my best to get everything caught up by the weekend. David and I attended Susan and Greg's wedding on November 4th. It was one of the prettiest weddings and receptions that I have ever attended. David and I would like to wish them the best of luck in the future and many, many happy years together.

Just got back from Florida !!!

David and I had a very unexpected trip to Florida to visit his family. It was very warm and beautiful there. David had a work convention to go to, but everyting was not mandatory, so we decided to escape and visit family. We went to visit Ken (David's dad), Joyce (David's step-mom) and Tom (David's grandpa) in Vero Beach on Monday. We had a great time!! We spent the morning catching up and visiting. We went to lunch at Waldo's right on the beach!! We had some wonderful Bloody Mary's and then moved on to Margarita's. We ordered lots of appetizers and just enjoyed the company of each other. We then just spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing and then we headed back to our hotel in Orlando.

Then on Tuesday we went to visit Lesley (David's mom) and Kevin (David's brother) in Largo. David's mom took us for a wonderful picnic and on a nature trail. We saw many different types of birds. We also saw two baby crocs and about a six-foot croc. It was such a fun afternoon!!! After that David and Kevin went and played 9-holes of golf, while Lesley and I went back to her house to visit and just relax. That evening we had a wonderful salmon dinner with the best squash casserole, ever. For the past six month, Lesley has been lots of work in her house. I will put up some pics of the rooms that are completed. It looks great!!!

We had a great time with all of you and we can't wait to see everyone at Christmas!!!!

Arkansas State Fair

I know I am a little behind in my posts. But, David and I went to the State Fair a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time. We rode a couple of rides, watched a concert, ate lots of junk food and went through the cattle barn. Everyone knows that I am a "country girl at heart"

Morgan's wedding reception

David and I attended Morgan's wedding reception on Saturday. We had lots of great food and of course the great wedding cake. Morgan looked so beautiful!!! Congrats Morgan and Scott!!

We took the dogs for the annual dog swim at War Memorial. C.A.R.E sponsors it each year and all the proceeds go to their organization. War Memorial provides their pool before they cover it for the season. There were so many dogs!!! Katie and Lacey had lots of fun.

Branson Fun and Table Rock Lake!!!

The weekend before last we decided at the last minute to go to Branson for the weekend. It was going to be gorgeous weather, so we decided to rent a pontoon boat for 4 hours on Table Rock Lake. It was so beautiful!!! Check out the pics:
