MOMMY at last!

Daddy's little girl!

Caroline Mae

Here she is officially, excuse her tiny little nose being smashed, she has been so low for a long time and probably been on Amy's pelvic bone.

Caroline is here!!!

Caroline was born at 7:24 pm.

6 lbs 14 oz
19.5 inches

She has dark hair.

The Kelly family is doing great!

I will update when we get more good news!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

PUSH!

Glitter Graphics

Amy has started pushing!

Got the epidural and life is good

Amy got the epidural around 5:00. At 5:15, she was feeling great!
She is 5 cm and 80% effacement. She also has a foley now.

The dr was coming to check on things so we should be getting an update soon!

At 6:00 pm --
A good 6 cm now 85 percent.

Amy's Progress Update

At about 3:00 they broke Amy's water and she is 4 cm and 75% effaced

Now, she is about to get the epidural.

She was induced technically but the dr saw that she was in labor and sent her to the hospital. Amy had been having some contractions yesterday but nothing real regular.

Now, the contractions are 1 - 2 minutes apart.

Caroline will be here soon - - -

Going to the Dr/Hospital!

This is Bern taking over Amy's blog for the next little while ...

Just got a message from Amy saying she is checking in to Labor and Delivery and Caroline will be here today.

I know she had a dr appt this morning at 10:45 so the dr must have seen something!

I will post as soon as I hear anything! Sarah (Amy's sister) is going to keep me posted so I can tell the blog world!

Bags almost packed!!!

Our new ottoman aka coffee table!!

I can't wait to start reading to her :)

I can't wait to dress her in all these adorable clothes!!

Caroline's Closet

I left some daddy room for David's stuff!!

Caroline's bag is ready to go!!!

Well, I have Caroline's bag packed and I am working on mine. I finally have her closet organized, but it could still use a little more. I have all of her newborn to 3 month clothes washed and ready to wear. Also, I have been collecting bows for the past few months, can you tell???? Also, I had to make a late night run to Barnes and Nobles last weekend, I realized that Caroline did not have the "Goodnight Moon" book and I thought I had to get it instantly :) Also, we decided to put our coffee table in the attic for a few years. I found this awesome ottoman, it is huge and I thought it could be used as a coffee table. I can also see Caroline using this to pull up on probably this time next year!! Katie and Lacey think it is a new seat for them, especially since it is right under our living room fan!!

38-weeks~almost done, I hope so anyways!!

38-weeks side view

Front view at 38-weeks, my belly is very heavy ;)

38-weeks

37-weeks

Okay, honestly I am ready to start posting pictures of Caroline instead of these belly pics. I feel like that is the only thing I have posted lately. My doctor wants David and I to stay close to home, so that is what we have been doing. So, nothing really exciting going on, but I am sure the excitement is just around the corner :) At 37-weeks, I was 1 cm and 25% effaced, now at 38-weeks, I am 2 cm and 50% effaced. It feels like she is never going to get here!! So, all you mommies out there please tell me that the progress I am having is normal, because I feel like it is slow!!! I would love to hear any of your progression stories. My doctor is talking about inducing between July 12-14, but I really want Caroline to come on her own terms before then. I plan to do a lot of walking this weekend, I mean I wonder if that will really help???? My blood pressure at my check-up on Monday was 110/72 and I had gained 2 pounds, so the total is 17 pounds, since at my 37-week I had lost a pound. I think right now everything is fluid. I am having major swelling in my feet and ankles. David and I wish everyone a Happy 4th of July , have fun and be safe.

36-week Belly Pics~a week behind

That seems to be my story right now. I can't remember anything lately, so finally I had David take these at the end of the week. I feel Caroline is really having a growth spurt right now. I went for my 36-week check-up a week ago and I was 1 cm dilated with no effacement, so I probably still have a ways to go. I had gained two pounds, so a total of 16 so far. My blood pressure was still perfect, thank goodness. I go this afternoon for my 37-week check-up, so I am hope for just a little more progress to get us closer :) I have a feeling Caroline is in no rush to come in the next couple of weeks, so if everything stays on track, she should be here in about 3 weeks :)

WELCOME BABY LUKE!!!

My good friend Katie and her husband Jared, had a sweet baby boy Luke Jared Thomas on Friday morning at 8:34 am. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. David and I went to visit the family on Friday night, but only got a picture of Luke on David's phone. He is a beautiful baby with gorgeous brown hair :) Congrats to the Thomas family!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

I want to wish all the wonderful Father's out there, a very Happy Father's Day!!!! I know Caroline is not here yet, but I really want to wish David a very Happy Father's Day because I know he is going to be the most wonderful "Daddy" to sweet Caroline!! She has no idea how much love her daddy has had for her from the first day we found out I was pregnant. I can't even imagine the love David will feel for her the first time he sees her (which will be in just a few short weeks!!). Happy Father's Day to Ken (David's dad) and my daddy. David and I are about to go visit my dad's grave site in just a few minutes. I would do anything to have my dad back for one more second just to tell him how much I love him!!! So, everyone out there tell your dads how much you love them today and everyday!!!

Baby Hiegel is here!!!

Congrats to Tommy and Sarah Hiegel on the arrival of their baby girl Cecilia Cate yesterday. This was an e-mail from Tommy: Cecilia Cate Hiegel (Ceci) was born by Cesarean at 11:44. She weighed 6lb 6oz and was 18 3/4 inches long. She was born with a tooth, which was really loose and pulled shortly after. She also has really long fingers and toes. David and I are going to visit tonight, so I am hoping for a picture of the beautiful Cecila :)

Last two weeks of belly pics!!!

I was so busy last week with Sarah's wedding that I forgot to post 34-week belly shots. So, here is 34-week and 35-week. I go Monday for my 36-week check-up and then weekly after that. I am still feeling great, just lots of ankle and feet swelling. I can't believe how close it is getting!! Also, our camera is about to bite the dust, so I didn't get very many good pictures at the wedding on Saturday. As soon as the photographer gets done, I will have a CD with all the pics, so get ready for a blog overload of wedding pics in a couple of weeks. The wedding was beautiful!!!!

FYI: We have a new Nikon D40 on it's way, so we can start playing with it and get it ready for Caroline's big entrance. Thanks to Grandpa Ken and Grandma Joyce :)

Memorial Day!!

David and I took the boat out on Sunday before Memorial Day. We got halfway to Choctaw and realized the water was probably going to be really high, due to the floods. Well, when we got there the lady at the front told us that there wasn't a boat ramp anymore. So, we went and checked out the scene and people were putting their boats in without the ramp. I wish I would of taken pictures of how high the water was, but it was crazy trying to get the boat in and maneuver the dogs. It is probably going to be the last boat outing for awhile. Katie and Lacey really missed their islands, since they were all under water. By the way, we are really wanting to sell our boat because we both can't stand to see it sit all summer with no use. With Caroline just a few weeks away, it will not get any use the rest of the summer.

Sarah's Lingerie Shower!!

Way too tight baby tee, that is non-maternity, she ordered these before she knew I was pregnant :)

The lingerie line with more lingerie!!

All the guest favors, I did bags with bath salts and floating candles.

So embarrassed, it was too funny!!

On the piano at Ernie Biggs

Saturday night was Sarah's lingerie shower and bachelorette party at my house. It was so much fun!! For everyone that knows Sarah, she is very conservative. Let's just say her face was red all night, there is even one picture where she is crying, she is so embarrassed. We had lots of yummy food!! Sarah got so much fun and pretty lingerie!! I also went to The Painted Pig and had a plate made with a picture of their new house, it turned out perfect. We are on the countdown, just two days down!!
