Just me and my daddy!!

Caroline adores her Daddy soooo much!! Her favorite time of the day is when David first gets home and cuddles with her. Excuse the nasty burp cloth, we have to keep those around everywhere.

I mean NOW!!

David and I put Caroline in her highchair for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We made a huge mistake and did it when she was way over tired. The pictures will explain this. We haven't tried it since, she seems to like to eat in her bumbo for the time being. Plus, it takes up way less space.

We got the helmet!!

The little boys that live next door, call her the football player. They said "Miss Amy, does Caroline play for the Colts?" It was too funny!!

Well, we finally got Caroline's molding helmet for her flat spot on the left side. As you may all recall from an earlier post that Caroline was born with flattening on her left side. She got stuck on my pelvic bone for three months when she made the big flip from breech. After three months, we had noticed zero improvement. So, we finally got the helmet. She is supposed to wear it 23 hours a day, but that is so hard to do. Her poor head sweats so bad. We give her many helmet off breaks during the day. I tried to take some pictures of the flat side, but it looks normal in pictures. It weighs 6 oz, which doesn't seem like a lot but if you had just learned not to be a bobble head you would understand :) Anytime she has pressure off of that left side, I usually let her have a break. We always make her sleep in it. No matter how I lay her down, anytime I go to check on her she is always laying on that flat side, well now it is nice because the helmet is there. If there happens to be brain and head growth, the helmet is in place. I haven't taken too many pics with it on. But, here are a few, the first couple of days after we got it. She has had it for almost three weeks.

Here is just a cute little shot I got of Caroline before she went to school last week!! I am her own personal paparazzi, I think I will be following her around for pictures for the rest of my life. I have to get her used to it early!!

Bunny, It's Cold Outside!!

The Sunday before Thanksgiving David and I decided to venture up in the attic and get down the Christmas decorations. We set up a play area for Caroline outside and she was so bundled. She only lasted for about 5 minutes, but it was worth a shot. This is a 3-6 month old outfit, it must really big because she is wearing 6-9 or 6-12 in all other brands. We sure hope it snows this winter so we can wear our bunny suit!!

David and I decided to have a little photo shoot with our little monkey before bath time. She loves her hat from Morgan :) We have shoes to match but they don't fit anymore :(

Caroline's new playmate. I ordered her the full set of ABC's, numbers, shapes, etc from One Step Ahead, btw that is my new addiction I love shopping there for Caroline. I just put a few of the squares together for her to play on in the foyer. After Christmas, we are going to take everything out of our formal living room to make room for a playroom. Instead of an area rug, this mat will take the place. It is very thick foam, so it should help when Caroline decided to topple over on her head. We have stained concrete floors throughout our house with the exception of area rugs. So, it makes me nervous thinking about when Caroline gets mobile and how many head bangs we are going to have.

Well, after many days of long thinking, I decided to start Caroline in a Mother's Day Out program about three weeks ago. I was getting zero work during the day and it was stressing me to the max. I thought I could work full time with no problem. But, my job requires me to leave the house to go out and about and do nanny interviews. Caroline never wanted to cooperate at any of the interviews. I called many Mother's Day Out programs, but I felt most comfortable with Trinity Cathedral downtown. I have know the ladies there for several years because they use the nanny service if they need to find last minute coverage for any employees that may become sick, etc. It is about a 25-minute drive for me from Maumelle, so I wish it was closer. She only goes on Mondays and Wednesday from 9-2. I don't get a ton done during that time, but more than I have the past several months. Miss Tanya, Miss Julie and Miss Aieshia love Caroline so much!! A lot of the babies just graduated to the toddler class, so right now Caroline and Sophia are the only babies. They get tons of one-on-one attention. I thought it would be good for Caroline to get out of the house and get socialized with other adults and babies. She loves it!! The first day she didn't eat well or sleep well, but she was in a brand new atmosphere. After day one, she has done great. She gets a report card everday. The second day she got a A++ . Here is a picture of her about to leave for the first day!!
