Caroline had her one year checkup last week and she did great considering she had three shots. Her stats are:
Weigh: 22 lbs 5oz -70%
Height: 29 1/4 -55%
Head: 17 1/4 - 15% (she still has her tiny head)
What Caroline is doing at 12 months:
*Walking everywhere, she doesn't crawl at all. I honestly, thought she would still crawl some, but no way. Even this weekend, she has started running, but doesn't get very far without falling down when she does this.
*Loves to have you chase her all around the house
*Is not eating baby food anymore, just finger and table foods
*100 percent on whole milk and doing great.
*Will drink juice or water from a sippy cup, but still trying to get the milk thing out of a sippy cup. She will not have a bottle by 14-15 months old.
*Loves anything Dora, she will say "Doa".
*She is learning the sounds that animals make, but the only one that I feel she truly has down is what does the cow do, she says "MMMMM", hasn't really pronounced her ooo's yet.
*Still sleeping so well, I just hope this keeps up when baby brother gets here.
*Favorite food is American cheese slices right now.
*Will only drink water if it has ice in it.
*Prefers drinking from a straw other than a regular sippy cup.
*Will give her baby dolls kisses and rocks them in her arms, it is too precious.
*She will walk all over the house say "dada" if she can't find David. She says mama, but dada is way more common right now.
*Is very attached to her blanky and only takes her paci to sleep.
*Still only 6 teeth, but we just saw a new one on the bottom trying to break through soon.
*Chases her puppies all over the house, I feel so bad for them, they never get rest unless she is sleeping. When, they bark, she always says "SSSHHHH" and put her fingers up to her lips, so I guess she gets as annoyed as I do with them barking throughout the day.
*My new favorite is when we pull into our neighborhood or driveway, she starts clapping and her mouth opens really big and she is so excited to be home :)
*Caroline is always talking, sometimes not sure what in the world she is saying, but always babbling something. I have a feeling by 18 months, I will never be able to get a word in, she is going to be a chatterbox like her mommy.
*Still loves her bath time. All we have to say now is "are you ready for your bath" and she walks to her bathroom and starts screaming her happy scream, I love it!!
It is just amazing to watch her learn new things everyday!! Caroline loves to learn, so I am always going to be so busy keep her very stimulated so she doesn't get bored. I love you monkey bear and I am so proud of all or your accomplishments in your first year :)
