Jason and Sarah spending their first Thanksgiving together as a married couple!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday!! We decided it would be the easiest to have it at our house, so all of Caroline's stuff is already here!! There was a spread of almost everything you could think of: Smoked Turkey, Fried Turkey, Peppered Ham, squash casserole, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, deviled eggs, rolls, etc. Lots of pies and sweets!! The family consisted of me, David, Caroline, Sarah, Jason K., Jason J., my mom and cousin Freddie. I think Caroline had the most fun getting passed around from one person to the next, the girl loves action, so she loved having everyone around. I have many more updates from the past several weeks, so I hope to do those soon. I am still so tired from the eating all the food :) Sarah and Jason woke up at 3:30 am to head to Wal-Mart's black Friday. Jason was on a mission to get a new LCD television and Sarah wanted the KitchenAid Mixer. They both got what they got up so early for. Caroline woke up at 3:30, so I was a little tempted to head out, but we went back to sleep instead.

I can't believe...

It has been almost two weeks since I last did a post. Where in the world does the time go?? Wait, I think I know all my time goes to the sweetest little pumpkin in the whole wide world!! I hope to do some updates really soon, so check back with us. But, here is an adorable picture to hold you over ;)

David and I are celebrating our 4-year wedding anniversary today!! We have had some wonderful memories together. It is amazing how much you can accomplish in just four short years as a married couple together. I couldn't ask for a more loving, caring husband and father to our daughter. It has only been a short 4 months with Caroline, but her and David already have such a special bond!! David and I have shared so many wonderful times together, I just wanted to go down memory lane with several pictures.

David and I are just amazed how fast Caroline is changing everyday. She has graduated from her newborn/infant tub and now likes to sit on the stool that is built in. Here are a few pics from her bath tonight. I am also going to post one from her 2.5 month bath to see how much she has grown.

Poor baby!!

Caroline's 4-month check-up went great on Friday!! I am still in shock that my baby girl is already 4-months old. She tolerated her shots very well. She was a little fussy right before bed, but that is pretty typically for Miss Priss.

Weight: 14 lb 3 oz. 50 percentile

Height: 24.5 inches 50-75 percentile

Head: 39 cm 25th percentile

Somethings that Caroline is doing at 4-months:

Sleeping: We start the bedtime routine between 8-9pm. She is usually asleep no later than 9:15 pm. She isn't sleeping through the night anymore, but usually just wakes up once between 2:30-4:30 for a feeding and goes back to sleep until 7-8 am.

Naps: We are still working on that, but she usually gets two decent naps (lasting 1 to 2 hours), then maybe a couple of cat naps (lasting 30-45 minutes).

Eating: She takes her bottle every 3-3.5 hours during the day, she is drinking 6 oz. We are working on feeding her rice cereal with a spoon. She doesn't love it yet, but I know she will soon.

She is getting to be such a happy baby, she was very fussy those first few months. She giggles, coos, happy screams and many other sweet noises. She really likes her jumperoo, doorway jumper and activity mat. She loves to touch your face and just explore your nose, lips, and eyes. Caroline loves to grab toys and put them straight in her mouth. She loves her little silky blanket at bedtime and nap time. She isn't a huge fan of tummy time, but will tolerate it. She has rolled over a couple of times. She prefers to go from back to tummy instead of tummy to back. David and I are just amazed everyday what a miracle and true blessing Caroline is to our family!! She loves her puppies. She will just stare at Katie and Lacey forever. We love you more than you will ever know Monkey :)

A YEAR AGO TODAY....

Caroline I can't believe it was one year ago today that I found out I was pregnant with you!!! Daddy and Mommy were leaving later that day to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary in Hawaii!! You were the best anniversary present ever!! I love you so much little monkey. We are going later today for your 4-month check-up and shots. I will post stats later!!

Seeing The Light

Seeing the light, WOW, what a statement with my baby girl. For the individuals that have been keeping up with the Kelly drama, "concerning our Miss Caroline" things have not been so easy. In fact, I was starting to wonder if the end would ever be near, at least maybe arms reach. Well, tonight my friends we have hit a HUGE milestone, gained some serious ground and yes in fact, "I have seen the light". Caroline and I love play time, we sit on the ottoman or couch and do what ever makes HER happy, which has been very difficult here lately. Although tonight had a different twist in store. Instead of the usual tummy time, cry, laying on her back, cry, tummy time again, fussing now, standing up, smiling at me, whimpering with that pitiful bottom lip out, etc.... No we did not see that kind of reaction tonight, what we got was some really awesome eye tearing laughter. This has been my first experience with Caroline really laughing at me. Still in the Halloween spirit I sounded off some horrible ghost noises that just brought out the best side of her. Amy and I were in tears laughing, not only at me and my silly noises but our baby girl growing up. I can't believe this has finally happened, I never thought in a million years that Caroline would stop crying enough to actually laugh, WE LOVED IT, bring more on!!
