Yum, Prunes!!

Let's just say Caroline has been a little irregular. I gave her some prunes thinking it would help the situation, but it didn't. She does love prunes though. When the prunes didn't work, her pediatrician said to use some Karo Syrup. Well, I put Karo in three of her bottles that day and let's just say she was on a sugar high for about two days. I have cut it back to about once a day or every other day and I am seeing some results.

I love my Paul Frank pj's!!

I bought Caroline some Paul Frank pj's for Christmas. They are size 12 months, but I desperately needed to do laundry the other night, so I just tried them on for fun. They fit everywhere, except the shirt came down a little low. Here a cute pics of her in her pjs :)

OMG, OMG we have a tooth~Almost!!

I had to post this really quick so I wouldn't forget my excitement!! I was putting Caroline down for her nap and she was going to town on my finger. I instantly felt something very, very sharp and sure enough we almost have our first bottom tooth!!! I started jumping up and down and Caroline wasn't sure what I was so excited about. It makes me all happy and sad at the same time. She is growing so fast and changing every single day :) I am so lucky to get to work from home and I never miss a thing. She really hasn't been fussy, so maybe this first tooth won't even phase her, but we have many more to go!! I promise I have lots and lots of pics. Once again, I am way behind in updates. I am not sure how I am going to keep this blog up with two babies. But, I am sure I will somehow manage to find time. Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Oh, Daddy how I miss you every day!!!

It has been five years ago today that my dad passed away of lung cancer. He fought a very hard battle, but God decided to call him home!!! There is never a day that I don't think about him. I also tell Caroline everyday how spoiled and loved she would of been by your sweet grandpa!! He was always anxious for grandkids, but knew it would probably be several years before any came into this world. Caroline's middle name "Mae" is named after his mom and he was always a momma's boy :) What I would do for my dad just to be able to meet Caroline for a minute, but I know they will meet someday. I will always tell Caroline stories about her grandpa that is in Heaven. I found this poem and it is exactly what I feel today:

This year would have been the first
that you could gladly say
how you'd become a Grandpa
who's more proud everyday.
Though you've been gone for many years,
still you're loved just the same.
And as she grows
she'll want to know
just how you used to be.
So I'll sob then smile
all the while
that she's upon my knee.
I'll make it clear
how very dear
I hold your memory,
And hide the pain
as I explain what a great DAD you were to me... and what a wonderful Grandpa you would of been to her.

Caroline and I would love to know if there is anyone in the Maumelle, Little Rock, or Conway area that do regular play dates for her age group. I have tried to find some in the area, but I have no luck. Please let me know if you read our blog or know someone with a little boy or girl around Caroline's age. I would like to get a group together before Spring gets here :)

Just rollin' around the living room!!

Look at my pretty blue eyes!!

The guard dogs!!

Mommy is tickling my stomach!!
That flash is making me cross-eyed.

The other night it was sooo cold!! David got a fire going, so the living room was so toasty. We cleared out the ottoman and let Caroline have the run of the whole room. She went from one end to the other, just rolling and scooting everywhere. She loves to get on her side to push herself. Katie and Lacey were right in the middle of all the action. They were a little surprised that she was rolling over to them. She had soo much fun!! These are the simple moments that I never want to forget!!

Caroline's face is cracking me up in this one!!

Caroline is such a daddy's girl!! It melts my heart to watch Caroline and David just play and interact. Here are some pics of Caroline and her Daddy. I took these two weeks from this Saturday. Caroline was getting ready to have a sleepover with her Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jason!!

Shopping Saturday!!

David had a big day of golf planned this past Saturday, so Caroline and I decided to go shopping. My mom and sister came to spend the day with Caroline and I. It was a great day!! I realized that I only took pictures before we left and not during our outing. We went to lunch at the Purple Cow. Then we were off to Toys R Us and Babies R US. I was on a mission to find stuff for Caroline's playroom. Caroline ended up missing her afternoon nap, but she did great. She fell asleep for about 10 minutes in her stroller at Babies R Us.

Keeping up!!

Ready to go!!

So serious!!

I am trying my best to keep up with all the pictures I take of Caroline during her 6th month. I am pretty crazy about taking pictures of her. It is so much easier to now that she can sit up by herself. Here is a photo shoot before we went to Target last week. She loves playing with her shoes. She also loves my Raggedy Ann doll from when I was a little girl. I think it is the bright red hair!!

Just playing around!!

Playing with all my toys from Christmas!!

Mommy, quit taking pictures, so I can play!!
This hand feels good to my gums!!

This is Caroline's poop face, sorry Caroline, I had to put this on here!!

Katie trying to figure out what toys she can play with. BTW, she chewed up another teether. I was out shopping this past weekend and picked one up. This was Saturday night, by Sunday morning it was history.

Singing in her microphone!!

She wants to crawl so bad!!

Caroline is really starting to love her toys. She will sit and play for longer periods of time now. We have cleared out all the furniture, decor, etc. in the formal living room and converting that into Caroline's playroom. We never used that room anyways and Caroline's toys are taking over our house. I am trying to keep the theme in the playroom unisex, since we have no idea if baby #2 is going to be a boy or girl. So, I have decided to go with an animal theme based upon some really neat pictures that I found for the playroom. I will posts lots of pics when I am done. It will be work in progress for awhile. Here are some cute pics of Caroline playing in her very unfinished playroom, but hey she doesn't seem to mind!!
