Well, last week I noticed a lot of fur balls floating around the house which is pretty normal for having two keeshonds. So, I just assumed Lacey or Katie was blowing their summer coat, well when David got home he asked me why Lacey's tail looked funny. We started to look and found a raw spot on her tail. I took her to the vet the next morning and he said it was a hotspot, which is common for their breed. He gave her a cortisone shot and some antibiotics. We were also advised that purchasing a cone, so that she could not chew while we are away would help it heal faster. So, here is she is with her cone. It is finally healing and she is not having to wear this as much!!

Poor pup!!! I'm glad she's better now. Imagine having to do that for years. Valentine was such a good dog. Here's to remembering Valentine!
oh my goodness poor little girl! :( don't they get the most pitiful looks when they have to wear those things! Titan got a cut on his leg last year, and he had to wear a *huge* cone on his head for awhile...poor guy...it was so big he couldn't get in his crate! hope she's better...
Bless her heart. Hot spots are the devil! My Mom's dog used to get them a lot.
