We had a wonderful Christmas Day!! It started at 4:30 am as we left Maumelle headed to the Memphis Airport to catch a 8:30 flight!! David and I thought Caroline would go back to sleep, but that was wishful thinking. We got almost to Lonoke and she was ready to watch Elmo, so finally after lots of whining we gave in. We made it to Memphis Airport around 7:15, so we decided we better hurry since we had never been through security with two babies, actually we had never traveled by air with either baby!! It was so cold and windy, so by the time we got inside David and I were FROZEN!! I had two strollers and all the diaper bags. We decided to take two strollers since Corbin's car seat would fit down inside his stroller. We actually had a cool car seat caddy for Caroline to ride in with her car seat, since we needed those once we arrived in Florida. We got through security much easier than I expected :) It is so funny the looks and things people say when they see the babies so close!! They both did FANTASTIC the whole way. At this point Caroline had never slept, so I knew she was going to start getting cranky, but she held up very well. Ken met us at the Orlando airport with his truck and ready for all of our stuff. It is no joke traveling with two babies and trying to pack everything for eight days!! We got settled in the truck and had about a hour and half drive to Vero, so the kids once again did great. Caroline finally fell asleep about five minutes from Grandpa and Grandma's house. Once, we got there we were greeted by Grandma Joyce, Great-grandpa Tom, Great-grandma Dorothy, Uncle Kevin and of course the pups Toni and Tilley. We got all settled and put both babies down for naps. We were so fortunate because Ken and Joyce's neighbor Angela has a ten-month old and they let us borrow pack-n-plays, swing, bumbo and bouncy seat for Corbin. That made the transition from home to Florida so much easier. Joyce and Ken started Christmas dinner prime rib and it was an awesome dinner!! Caroline and Corbin were so spoiled by everyone!! It was an amazing time and we made such great memories of Corbin's 1st Christmas and Caroline's 2nd Christmas!!
