Night away with our sweet Caroline!!

David and I decided to take Caroline to Hot Springs and spend all day Saturday and spend the night. We felt she really needed some one on one time, since she is constantly telling strangers that baby Cohen cries all the time. We had a wonderful time. Thanks to Sandra for keeping the boys to make this possible. Caroline had her agenda and with just a few bumps in the way we stuck to them and she wore herself out. We left Maumelle around 10:30 and headed to ride the Duck Boat first, then we had lunch at Rolando's, then off to see a couple of the horse races. After, that Caroline was starting to fade as it was almost 2 hours after her usual nap time. We went and checked in our hotel and attempted a power nap. We were trying to make the 7pm showing of Hop and then just going to eat a late dinner. Well, after a while Caroline finally fell asleep in the bed with me, so I never got a nap, she was all over the place. We have never co-slept with Caroline and you can tell :) We woke up and got to the movie around 6:50 and they said it was sold out. That is really hard to explain to a 2-year old that a movie is sold out. So, we decided to be brave and buy tickets for the 9:20 showing. We left and went to eat a little local pizza place and Caroline made lots of friends and they just played outside on the patio while we ate dinner. Then, off to the movies we go already past Caroline's bedtime. After, what seemed like a zillion previews the movie finally comes on. Believe it or not we made it all the way through and it wasn't even animated. Caroline did great. It was 11pm, so we headed straight to the hotel to go to bed. Caroline didn't sleep very well and fell off the bed around 2am, so not much sleep. But, she had a blast. We woke up and had a nice breakfast and headed back home. She did say several times during the trip, she wanted Corbin to be with us and when are we going home. But, overall it was a wonderful time with one child. It was almost like a mini-vacation.

Caroline excited to leave for Hot Springs.
Just got on the boat ride.

Sitting in mommy's lap.

Then, she wanted to sit in her daddy's lap.

Out on the water in the duck boat.

Enjoying lunch at Rolando's

Horse races, look at that sweet girl wiping her eyes.

Dinner, all she wanted to do was get up and play with a table of about 10 kids sitting next to us.

All ready for the movie HOP

But, oh so tired.

Playing with her computer in the hotel closet right before we left.

Happy to be home to her brother.
